Effective training. Real results. A dog you can finally enjoy at home and in public.
Living with a dog you can't trust is exhausting. The barking at the door, the leash pulling, the jumping on guests-it wears you down and makes it hard to enjoy the dog you dreamed of having. At Team Dog with Yasmin, we help families and dog owners build a calmer, easier life with their dogs through clear, real-world training.
Whether you're starting fresh with a puppy, adopted a new adult dog or dealing with big behavior issues, you don't have to keep feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
We specialize in professional dog training in San Antonio, Lytle, and surrounding areas, offering obedience training, puppy training, and behavior modification for issues like reactivity and aggression.
Just Imagine This
You open the front door to welcome family or friends—and instead of barking, bolting, or jumping, your dog is calmly sitting on their bed, waiting to be greeted. No chaos. No stress. Just a well-mannered dog you’re proud to show off.
Or picture this:
You’re walking through the park with your dog calmly at your side, passing by other dogs and people without a scene—no barking, no pulling. Later, you stop at a nearby café or brewery, grab a seat, and your dog settles quietly next to you, relaxed and polite – earning you compliments instead of stares.
Sounds like a dream, right?
It doesn’t have to be. With the right obedience training and coaching, that transformation is absolutely within reach.
You don’t need a “robot” dog. You need a dog that listens, respects you and can go places without causing you anxiety. That’s what we teach – one dog, one owner, one team at a time.
If you are looking for dog training in San Antonio or Lytle, whether it’s puppy training, obedience lessons or help with serious behavior problems – we can help.
Who is Yasmin???
I have a lot of respect for dog owners like you who reach out for help – because I’ve been in your shoes.
Before I became a dog trainer, I struggled with my own dog’s aggressive behavior and remember exactly how overwhelming it felt. You try your best, but nothing seems to stick, and you cannot figure out what you are doing wrong. That experience is what led me here. My goal isn’t just to train dogs – it’s to help dog owners like you finally understand what’s going on and show you a clear, practical way forward. I want you to feel confident, supported and proud of the progress you and your dog make together. Over time, that passion led me to make a major life change.
I was born and raised in Germany, where I graduated from German high school and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 2010. For about 15 years, I worked in my family’s business before relocating to the United States in 2015. Upon arrival, I decided to pivot from my previous career path after discovering my passion for working with dogs. In 2016, I completed my certification as a Dog Training and Behavior Modification Specialist at Starmark Academy for Professional Dog Trainers.
Since then, I have:
- Trained multiple dogs for law enforcement in detection and patrol (2016-2018).
- Handled dogs for a private security company specializing in narcotics and explosives searches (2016-2018).
- Trained personal protection dogs (2018).
- Volunteer Puppy Foster for a Military Working Dog Breeding program

Our Piper "Chaos" came to us as a rescue after being born stray and raised in a shelter setting. Unfortunately, her early life left her as an anxious, under socialized dog who was terrified of the outside world. Her "walks" we're mostly going from one meltdown to the next while we tried (not always successfully) to maintain some semblance of control. Inside the house, Piper listened only when she felt like it and was often getting into trouble. We loved her, but she was not exactly a great furry roommate. Prior to working with Yasmin, we'd tried to make progress with Piper. We'd tried a group class, which only made her fear of other dogs worse. We tried another trainer, but she found Piper unmanageable and declined to continue with us. We'd read books and tried to train her ourselves, but without consistency and a firm plan, we were not making much progress. We were running out of ideas. Working with Yasmin was a game changer. She was able to help us establish rules and structure with Piper that helped her feel safe in settings she'd have never have tolerated before. She also gave us guidance on tools and approaches to set limits on Piper's behavior. After the first week, Piper knew how to go to her bed and stay so we could do dishes or vacuum without Piper jumping into the middle of things. After only a few weeks, Piper was FINALLY able to walk through our neighborhood without a single meltdown, which seemed absolutely impossible when we started. Now she goes on nightly walks and even gets compliments on her manners! The transformation was huge. Piper may not be perfect, but Yasmin was able to quickly help us build the rules and behaviors we needed to make life with Piper so much more enjoyable. Yasmin also helped us to take Piper out into the world and experience new things, which has helped her to build confidence and know how to handle scary things without panicking. We did several field trips into the community, which let us both practice her new skills with distractions and also let Piper experience the world. It made a huge difference for our anxious dog and showed Piper and us how much she really can do. While I'm not sure Piper enjoys going to new places all the time yet, she definitely at least enjoys getting invited along with her people more and we love knowing she can go places safely and stay under control. In our time working Team Dog with Yasmin, Piper has gone from a wild chaos gremlin to a still anxious but manageable dog. Her life and ours is undeniably better and we truly appreciate her help. We still have work to do, but we really appreciate Yasmin for getting us set on a path to an enjoyable life with our Piper!Posted on Monica PerezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Yasmin was great with a dog I rescued from a horrible situation that needed training for her forever home. Despite the dog coming from a horrible situation she responded very well to Yasmin. She also gave me tips on another difficult rescue and took the time to show me how to work with him. She is very knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing training for their fur babies. 👍Posted on Rich HunnicuttTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Yasmin Bowersox is incredible. Extremely competent and knowledgeable. She understands every dog is different and finds the right formula for success. I have two Rhodesian Ridgeback Puppies (littermates), and everyone told me I was crazy (probably true but for other reasons). Yasmin took them for a three week board and train starting at 5 months old. I really wasn't expecting much as they are under 6 months, and as Yasmin put it, it is "Comedy Hour" when they are together. We still have a lot of work to do, but they have made tremendous progress. They have mastered "Heel" and I can walk both in tandem to my left! They can follow basic commands when alone. Sit, Down, Place, etc. We still need to work on them learning when they are together as they are each other's biggest distraction, but the progress was amazing for puppies! (You can't teach a kindergardener to play Beethoven). I will be hiring Yasmin again after my puppies mature a little more.Posted on Hiral DesaiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Yasmin was absolutely incredible! She took our 1.5 year old Bailey (half Belgium Malinois half German Shepherd) who was very reactive, jumping on everyone, no leash manners, thinks the world revolves around her and turned her into a well mannered dog! The 6 week, 90 minute training sessions was just what Bailey needed to focus and hone her energy. Yasmin was very attentive and taught us all the skills we needed to give Bailey the best chances of success. Training is not only required on Baileys part but our part as well, Yasmin gave great direction on how to best correct Baileys behavior. We strongly recommend Yasmin for all dog training needs!Posted on Diamond DillinghamTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Yasmine is the best ! She offers so many classes like in facility and group training. She travels to you if need be and dhe also does boarding. I've taken my fur baby to 3 different trainers and Yasmine is the best, thus far ! 🫶Posted on Jeanenne PetreeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was at my wits end when I found Team Dog and Yasmin. I had an aggressive pup that couldn’t be around other animals and we were a full house…. I wasn’t sure I would be able to keep my precious baby, but Yasmin changed our lives! While. Elu is still exuberant and headstrong, she now listens and with every day gets better and more responsive following commands. Today we went on a real walk & had no problems!!! Before starting with Yasmin I could barely get a leash on my pup, she fought against it & it became such a hopeless struggle. Thank you, Yasmin. You saved my Elu & have made us a better family. 🩷Posted on Michael VillasanaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Yasmin is absolutely wonderful!! She mostly trained us as dog owners, but our pup learned along the way! He went from a crazy puppy that ran our home and went nuts in public to a very well behaved dog that I am happy to take anywhere. We now have his "bed" at home that he goes to on command, he walks next to us instead of dragging us along, he never jumps on people, lays in public when we tell him to, but most of all..he knows we are now boss. We started training him around 6 months old. We love our baby dog and are so thankful for Yasmin's help! As a side note, Yasmin is always very communicative, reliable, and overall great!Posted on Celeste LopezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It has been great working with Yasmin. As a first time dog owner it was the best decision to work with her to help train my one year old golden doodle! I have seen so much progress in my pup throughout the weeks. She has very good communication, suggestions and answers all your questions from beginning to end of each training session. I will definitely recommend her to anyone needing and wanting to train their pup. My golden doodle and I can now enjoy time out in public! Thank you!Posted on melissa petersTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Yasmin was the perfect trainer to help me with my aggressive rescue dog. She was very knowledgeable on helping me target my dogs bad behaviors and establish a plan moving forward. After just 6 sessions, I can already tell a difference in the way my dog Gunner responds to stressful situations. :)Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
