Effective training. Real results. A dog you can finally enjoy at home and in public.
Living with a dog you can’t trust is exhausting. The barking at the door, the leash pulling, the jumping on guests-it wears you down and makes it hard to enjoy the dog you dreamed of having. At Team Dog with Yasmin, we help families and dog owners build a happier and more relaxed life with their dogs through clear, real-world training.
No matter if you are dealing with puppy chaos, adult dog shenanigans or with big behavior issues, you don’t have to keep feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
We specialize in professional dog training in San Antonio, Lytle, and surrounding areas, with Private Lessons, Board & Train, Reverse Board & Train, and Boarding for existing clients and approved dogs. We help with obedience training, puppy training, and behavior modification for issues like reactivity and aggression.
Every dog and every family is different. We evaluate each dog and their owners to identify what they need to function successfully together, then build the training around their real life. That’s why we’ll help you choose the training program that best fits your dog, your goals, and your lifestyle.
Just Imagine This
You open the front door to welcome family or friends—and instead of barking, bolting, or jumping, your dog is calmly sitting on their bed, waiting to be greeted. No chaos. No stress. Just a well-mannered dog you’re proud to show off.
Or picture this:
You’re walking through the park with your dog calmly at your side, passing by other dogs and people without a scene—no barking, no pulling. Later, you stop at a nearby café or brewery, grab a seat, and your dog settles quietly next to you, relaxed and polite – earning you compliments instead of stares.
Sounds like a dream, right?
It doesn’t have to be. With the right obedience training and coaching, that transformation is absolutely within reach.
You don’t need a “robot” dog. You need a dog that listens, respects you and can go places without causing you anxiety. That’s what we teach – one dog, one owner, one team at a time.
If you are looking for dog training in San Antonio or Lytle, whether it’s puppy training, obedience lessons or help with serious behavior problems – we can help.
Who is Yasmin???
I have a lot of respect for dog owners like you who reach out for help – because I’ve been in your shoes.
Before I became a dog trainer, I struggled with my own dog’s aggressive behavior and remember exactly how overwhelming it felt. You try your best, but nothing seems to stick, and you cannot figure out what you are doing wrong. That experience is what led me here. My goal isn’t just to train dogs – it’s to help dog owners like you finally understand what’s going on and show you a clear, practical way forward. I want you to feel confident, supported and proud of the progress you and your dog make together. Over time, that passion led me to make a major life change.
I was born and raised in Germany, where I graduated from German high school and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 2010. For about 15 years, I worked in my family’s business before relocating to the United States in 2015. Upon arrival, I decided to pivot from my previous career path after discovering my passion for working with dogs. In 2016, I completed my certification as a Dog Training and Behavior Modification Specialist at Starmark Academy for Professional Dog Trainers.
Since then, I have:
- Trained multiple dogs for law enforcement in detection and patrol (2016-2018).

Yasmin went above and beyond to train our dog after I injured my knee and had to have knee reconstruction surgery. She worked specifically to meet our needs and ensure our Rosie could walk safely on a leash, have appropriate manners, and that she was happy and successful. Yasmin worked around my surgery schedule to accommodate Rosie’s training and worked on the specific skills we needed implemented. 110% recommend!Posted on Google![]()

I hired Yasmin to help with my puppy and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the first session she was professional, calm, and really good at reading both the dog and the owner. She explained everything in a way that actually made sense and gave me simple, consistent steps to follow at home. My puppy went from being all over the place to listening, walking better on leash, and settling down much more easily. What I appreciated most is that she never used harsh methods — just clear structure, timing, and a lot of patience. She also made me feel supported, not judged. Puppy training can be overwhelming, and she made it feel manageable. If you’re looking for a trainer who is knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely invested in helping your puppy succeed, I highly recommend her. Happy client of Yasmin Zhanna ShatsovPosted on Google![]()

I cannot recommend this Yasmin as a dog trainer enough! When I reached out to her, I was honestly at the point where I thought I might have to give up on Yowac because I was struggling so much with getting her to get along with Willy. I felt like I had tried everything and wasn't sure there was going to be a solution. Working with her completely changed that. She took the time to understand Yowac behavior, the relationship between Yowac and Willy, and what we needed to do differently. She was patient, knowledgeable, supportive, and gave me practical techniques that I could actually use at home. The improvement in Yowac has been incredible. She has made so much progress, and the relationship between Yowac and Willy iis completely different from where we started. I went from feeling like I was running out of options to finally feeling confident and hopeful about having them together. What I appreciate most is that she didn't just train my dog, she taught me how to understand her better and gave me the tools and confidence to continue working with her. I am extremely grateful for everything she has done for Yowac, willy, and me. If you're struggling with your dog's behavior and feel like you've tried everything, I highly recommend giving her a chance. The difference she made in our home has been amazing, and I couldn't be happier with the results. ❤️🐾Posted on Google![]()

Had a wonderful experience working with Yasmin. She was great at communicating, arriving on time at my home, and focusing on my fut baby. Sh we was doing more than just training the basics but incorporating training to fit my lifestyle and the commands I would need. She was patient and great at explaining techniques to me and building that bond with my fur baby. In just two weeks I saw drastic results. Highly recommend.Posted on Google![]()

I adopted a rescue from the humane society and quickly realized he was unlike any dog I’d owned before. Despite having plenty of experience with dogs, this little guy was exceptionally stubborn and mischievous, and I knew I needed professional guidance. Working with Yasmin through individual training sessions was the best decision I could have made. From our very first session, I knew I was in the right hands. Her training methods are effective, thoughtful, and truly work. Thanks to Yasmin's expertise and unwavering support, my dog has come such a long way. She is genuinely passionate about what she does and cares deeply about helping every dog succeed and reach their full potential. I am forever appreciative and cannot recommend her enough!Posted on Google![]()

I took my 1 1/2 year old black Lab Charlie to Yasmin for her 3 week board and train program. Before I took him for training Charlie was a wild child. He is very friendly but can be very unruly as well. He was horrible on the leash, went insane when anyone came to my house and jumped on most people he met either in the house or out on our walks. Yasmin is a miracle worker! When I picked him up and we had our training session I was truly amazed. Now he walks perfectly on the leash, he stays when told to do so and he comes immediately when I call him even outside and around people. He is very good about placing on his bed until I release him and he is also good with his door manners and no longer bolts out the door when I open it. Yasmin kept me posted on his progress while he was away and sent many pictures and videos of his training. He was sitting and staying on the first day with her! Charlie and I are keeping up with his training many times per day and he is continuing to do very well. Taking Charlie to Yasmin was one of the best investments I have ever made.Posted on Google![]()

When I adopted my puppy from the shelter, she was extremely reactive toward both people and other animals. I reached a point where I genuinely felt hopeless and feared her aggression would eventually lead to an unfortunate outcome. Hiring Yasmin was one of the best decisions I could have made. From our very first session, Yasmin was knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly understanding. She took the time to listen to my frustrations without judgment and helped me realize how my own reactions were affecting my dog's behavior. More importantly, she explained canine body language and behavior in a way that was easy to understand, teaching me how to recognize early warning signs and respond with confidence instead of fear. The results exceeded my expectations. During our 9-week training program, Yasmin didn't just train my dog—she trained me to become a better handler. By the third week, my puppy was already showing significant improvement, and my confidence in her continued to grow. For the first time, I truly believed she could thrive in our multi-pet household. Yasmin is also extremely flexible and accommodating. Whenever we needed to adjust our schedule, she worked with us to find a time and place that fit our busy lives. We recently completed the 9-week program and have already enrolled in her 6-month group training because my dog has absolutely loved working with her and is ready for the next step in her journey. I highly recommend Yasmin to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated dog trainer. She has years of experience, a remarkable understanding of canine behavior, and a genuine passion for helping both dogs and their owners succeed. She doesn't just train dogs—she gives owners the knowledge and confidence to build a stronger, lasting relationship with them.Posted on Google![]()

My 2 year old foster pup needed to learn some household manners, to come when called, and to walk nicely even when temptation came calling in the form of deer or other walked dogs. Yasmin came each week and we worked on all these things successfully. She provided clear, patient instructions and we had so much improvement each week. She was understanding about the sense of urgency in case the pup got adopted(he did!) and we were able to speed up the training, meeting twice a week a couple of times. I also gained the knowledge to train my future fosters to help ensure successful adoptions. Thank you Yasmin!Posted on Google![]()

I reached out to Yasmin because I was at a loss. My sweet hellion Sadie was extremely reactive to deer, and anything that moved, terrified of the neighbors motorcycle, muscle car and even motorcycles a couple miles away. To make matters worse I was about to have shoulder surgery on my left arm. We had puppy classes with someone else but nothing worked for the problems above. Sadie and I had six lessons at my home confronting the real problems I was having. We just finished a 2 mile walk, no pulling, no going crazy over deer. It was great for both of us. We have attended some of the group lessons which have helped me to make sure I keep up all the good work we did. Thank you Yasmin. I didn’t think it was possible.
